📜 Historical Roots

Thiruvananthapuram was the capital of Travancore, one of the most progressive princely states in Bharat. Maharaja Swathi Thirunal was a composer of genius, Maharaja Uthram Thirunal established the first free vaccination programme, and the state under Sree Chithira Thirunal introduced the Temple Entry Proclamation in 1936 opening temples to all Hindus including those from lower castes, decades before such reforms became national policy.
