📜 Historical Roots

The Ita Fort of Itanagar, built in the 14th to 15th century CE and believed to be associated with the Jitari kingdom, represents one of the earliest documented historical structures in Arunachal Pradesh. The fort's massive brick construction in a remote Himalayan hill location speaks to the civilisational sophistication of the historical communities of the eastern Himalayan foothills.
